I then began painting with oils and acrylics, then moved on to watercolors. I did watercolors for 10 or so years up to the time I added Prismacolor colored pencils.
I have belonged to the NSDP since around 1976 and have taught and had a booth in the trade show at several national conventions. I also have taught and had a booth in the trade show at The Heart of Ohio Tole Convention for many years.
I love sharing my painting experiences and meeting new artist. We always have so much in common no matter where I go teach. I'm looking forward to knowing you.
I have decided to retire from watercolor teaching and concentrate on colored pencil paintings. These are not watercolor pencils but rather Prismacolor colored pencils. They are my passion and I'm getting too old to travel teach and set up a booth with two mediums. So I'm sorry for you watercolor lovers but I'm sure if you give colored pencil a fair chance you will love them as much as I do. They are affordable, highly portable,
and very controllable. There is no water involved and no brushes to clean. Very little prep. which makes them very relaxing. Check out the packets on this site. I know you'll grow to love the medium.
